The shocking revelation has come to the fore in connection with the murder case of a 32-year-old woman on Mumbai's Mira Road as investigations are underway.

The woman, identified as Sarawati Reddy, was killed and her body was chopped into several pieces allegedly by her live-in partner.

The motive for the crime is still unknown
The Mumbai Police has booked accused Manoj Sahni, the live-in partner of the victim, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a thorough investigation has been launched.

According to a reports, the motive behind the gruesome crime is yet to be ascertained.

The accused was seen feeding the dogs
"Manoj Sahni was seen feeding the dogs, which was unusual as no one had ever seen him do it before," a neighbor said. Police officials suspect that Sahni chopped the victim's body into several pieces and then fed them to stray dogs. Officials also doubt that Sahni could have disposed of the body parts down the drain.

Accused Manoj Sahni will be produced before the court
Sahni was arrested by the Mumbai police immediately after the incident came to light and will be produced in court on Thursday.

Buckets full of blood were found at the crime scene
Police officials who were conducting a search at the crime scene, i.e. a flat in Akashdeep Cooperative Housing Society, found two buckets filled with blood and body parts. Officials also found a tree cutting machine and a woman's hair in the apartment's bedroom.
